We visited Goldener Berg as a family, and our stay exceeded every expectation.
Located directly on the Arlberg plateau, Goldener Berg Hotel offers panoramic views of snow-covered peaks and open alpine landscapes. One of our favourite parts of the stay was the view from our balcony. Each morning we woke up to sweeping Alpine scenery: dramatic mountains, fresh snow, and endless sky. Sitting outside with a warm drink while soaking in the views felt incredibly relaxing and made our room feel even more special. If mountain views are high on your travel wishlist, Goldener Berg delivers them in abundance.
After a full day outdoors, the spa area becomes the heart of the hotel. Heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, panoramic mountain views from the water, relaxation areas with floor-to-ceiling windows, sauna and wellness zones for complete relaxation. Swimming while surrounded by Alpine peaks was one of the most memorable moments of our entire trip. Kids loved it too!
Dining at Goldener Berg is an experience in itself. The hotel focuses on high-quality regional ingredients, offering beautifully presented Alpine cuisine alongside international options. Every meal we enjoyed was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, perfect for both adults and children. One evening we visited the hotel’s historic restaurant, Alter Goldener Berg, a remarkable building with more than 600 years of history. Dining here feels like stepping back in time: wooden interiors, candlelight, and authentic Alpine charm create an unforgettable setting. We enjoyed a traditional Austrian fondue experience, which was fun, interactive, and perfect for families. Sharing fondue in such a historic space made the evening truly magical and one of the highlights of our stay.
