I work with high street brands all the time and sometimes I feel like there is nothing new in the market. The same trends are ruling every high street shop. So working with creative individual designers is always a pleasure. I recently met Pookie, creative director of The Pazuki brand. I had a totally different experience with this designer and I really enjoyed it. I visited her studio in Barnes (which is amazing) and I was pleasantly surprised by her studio and new AW18/19 collection. I fell in love with the artistic house, all the little details were just mesmerising. And let’s not forget the collection, it is truly amazing. So many unique prints, one dress even had prints of the studio including a cat. How cute! And if you want to know a little bit more about the collection and designer, just keep reading.
This season Pazuki is ‘chic boho’ in feel, with flowing skirts, velvet palazzo pants, wrap tops, classic shirts, soft jersey T shirts, vintage patchwork dresses and fabulous kimonos. All in gorgeous natural fabrics silk crepe, silk satin & velvet. The Collection of course also includes Pookie’s legendary scarves in luxurious soft fabrics.
Pazuki’s ethos is to enable women to feel confident and express themselves as individuals through pattern and colour, with no rules or regulations.
As well as designing her own line Pookie has created designs for Paul Smith. Many celebrities have chosen to buy Pazuki over the years including Hilary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Mick Jagger, Theresa May and many more.
