Midi Skirt trend reached us from the good old seventies and it’s been a while on a must-have list. Dorothy Perkins Midi Skirt from Luxe Collection was exactly what I was looking for. Bold colour and perfect midi length. Bearing in mind that midi skirt is not the easiest thing to wear I took my chance. To look good with midi skirt you need to follow some tips:
Length. Right length can be the main decision point to go for a midi skirt or not. If you have thin legs, skirt’s hem should reach your thickest part of calf. Just below your knees would suit you as well. If you have not so thin legs the best length would be just below the knees or 5-7cm (2-3inch) below your thickest calf part. Don’t go lower especially if you are petite.
Top. If you choose pleated or full circle skirt, match it with a simple top. If you choose bold colours, keep your top neutral and tucked in. Crop tops are good choice as well.
Footwear. The best option is pointy heels. Keep away from flat sandals especially if you are petite.
Different View. If you choose luxury satin skirt, does it mean you have to wear it just on a special occasion? Not at all. Put on leather jacket and you have stunning daily outfit.
